The early Matchbox models became popular because of their size, a distinction that is rarely found with any other brand of diecast model. The Matchbox  model range of diecast vehicles includes Matchbox cars and buses, Matchbox trucks and dumpers, tractors, racing cars, space shuttles, aircraft, and military vehicles too. Die cast cars were the first replicas to become a product of the Matchbox Lesney Company whereas the other items have been introduced over a long period of time.
